Other member districts state they have offered an alternative agreement that could resolve the issue if New Castle leadership approves it.Meanwhile, the Ellwood City Borough Council approved a thirteen thousand dollar equipment purchase to supply the local police department with an advanced thermal imaging drone. Police officials say the drone will provide high-definition heat mapping to track suspects and find missing persons during round-the-clock search operations.And sixty-five-year-old Wayne Jones of New Castle is facing charges after a state trooper conducted a traffic stop near Sampson Street.
